ADFA Long Service Award- Steve Hull

At the Aldershot Divisional Football Association (ADFA) 2023 AGM held at Aldershot Town Football Club recently there were presentations made to recognise Long Service Awards (minimum 20 years) within the local football community.

Current Cove FC Chair Steve Hull was presented with his award by ADFA Life Vice President John Marchment.

Steve commenced his football involvement in 1969 qualifying as a referee. It was in 2001/02 when Steve’s son became more interested in football that he completed his Level 1 Coaching badge and coached Frimley Under 8’s. The following year he took both Frimley teams to Cove FC and started Cove Youth FC where he became Honorary Secretary.  Between 2004 and 2011 he became Chair of Cove Youth and ran many Under 8 to Under 16 teams and was also involved with the North East Hants League. Steve has been in his current role as Chair since 2017. Cove are an integrated club that operates football for players from the ages of 5 through to 85. The club has Little Strikers, Youth teams from Under 7 to 18, two senior teams and over 100 Walking Football members.
