20 year award for David Bland

David Bland was recently presented with the Aldershot DFA 20 Year Award by President Thura Win at the Association’s Annual General Meeting at Aldershot Town FC.

David has played an extensive contribution with Combined Counties League Eversley and California.  He commenced as a youth team manager for California FC in 1996; a role he continued until 2008 when he was involved with the club merger with Eversley FC. He then continued his involvement as Southern Youth League Manager and Allied Counties Youth League Manager alongside Combined Counties League administration with Eversley and California. In total he was a Committee member between 1998 and 2014, Club Treasure (2001-2010) and Club Chair (2009-2014). He also won the FA Groundsman of the Year Award for Step5/6 level.

David has also been heavily involved within the refereeing fraternity. Between 1986 and 2019 he was a referee registered with the Berks and Bucks FA whilst he has also carried out observing and mentor duties; a role he plays to this day.

He has also served with Finchampstead FC and has been Chair, Vice Chair and Divisional Secretary of the North East Hants Youth League and also founding committee member of the East Berks FA Youth League. Davis has also been Registration Secretary of the Aldershot and District Football League.
